Bamboo is a highly sustainable plant due to its naturally renewing properties.
It can grow to full size much quicker than a standard tree that can take more than 30 years to grow to full size. Bamboo trees can grow to full size un just 3-4 months (!) - if they are in the right conditions. Some species, can grow at the rate of 36 inches in just 24 hours!
Bamboo plants produce up to 30% more oxygen compared to normal trees, as they absorb twice as much carbon dioxide.
Bamboo fibers are naturally anti-bacterial. That's why bamboo trees can be grown without the use of pesticides.
